Hunt for car robber

3:45pm Fri 29th Aug 08:: written by Kelly Rawlings

Police have released an e-fit image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a car robbery in Hurst.

A man turned up to an address in Dunt Lane, claiming to be interested in buying a black Audi A3.
While he was viewing the car he pushed the owner over and drove off some time between 8.50pm and 9pm on Thursday, August 21.

The 40-year-old man who owned the car, was left with a fractured shoulder and foot after he clung on to the car in an attempt to stop it being stolen.

Det Con Colin Mccarlie, who is investigating the incident, said it was a 'nasty incident' and police are keen to hear from anyone with information.

The suspect is described as white, 25-30 years old, around 5ft 11ins, average build, with short brown hair and a top lip that was distinctively thicker than the bottom lip.
He was wearing a white collared short sleeved T-shirt, which possibly had a Reebok motif across the front, and three quarter length trousers.

Call police on 08458 505 505 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
