Medal hopes have been dashed for the men's 4x100m team in Beijing after a baton blunder.
The GB team, who won in Athens four years ago, will not even contend in the final after being disqualified in their heat because of a late baton handover.
Langley runner Marlon Devonish had been handing over to Craig Pickering who appeared to set off to early for the final change.
The four was made up by Simeon Williamson and Tyrone Edgar.
The curse of the relay heats continued with USA's men and womens teams both having baton trouble leaving final hopes in tatters.
