Teacher to run in memory of Ecuador coach crash victim

A family friend of a teenager who died tragically in a coach crash in Ecuador is getting her running shoes on in memory of Indira Swann.

Teacher Tessa Blissett, of Beechfield Place, Maidenhead, has been close to Indira's family since she moved to the area 16 years ago, helping them through the unthinkable trauma following the teenager's sudden death earlier this year.

Tessa will be taking on the Adidas Women's Challenge next month in London to raise cash for the Indira Education Trust, set up after the April disaster that claimed the lives of Indira and four fellow travellers.

"We don't want her memory to fade," said 55-year-old Tessa. "We want to do everything to keep it alive."
