Motorcylist airlifted to hospital

A motorcyclist had to be airlifted to hospital after colliding with a car in Langley yesterday afternoon.

The blue Yamaha R6 and a blue Honda Civic collided at the junction of Langley High Street and Elmhurst Avenue at 3.13pm.

The rider, a man in his thirties, suffered serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to Royal Berkshire Hospital where his condition was described as stable.

Langley High Street was closed until about 7.15pm while the vehicles were recovered and accident investigators assessed the scene.

Police are appealing for information about the collision. Anyone who witnessed it should call PC Dan Perry of Taplow Roads Policing on 08458 505 505.
