An eatery in Bray has achieved the rare feat of scoring a perfect 10 in the latest edition of fine dining bible The Good Food Guide 2009.
The Fat Duck, owned by celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal is the first restaurant in four years to receive the magical maximum score.
Aptly, the award-winning chef has been seen on our TV screens in a cookery show called In Search of Perfection.
Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in London was last to achieve top marks back in the 2005 edition, of the universally acclaimed guide.
Owner Heston Blumenthal said: "The worldwide recognition we receive is greatly welcomed, however first and foremost I am very proud to be British and overwhelmed at being voted the Best Restaurant in the UK by The Good Food Guide."
To get awarded top marks, restaurants have to achieve perfect dishes on a consistent basis.
