This week the Royal Borough welcomed its new senior police officer, Superintendent Tim De Mayer.

Wokingham born and bred, Tim has taken over as Local Police Area (LPA) Commander for Maidenhead and Windsor.

He joined the Metropolitan Police Service in 1997 after studying management law at Brunel University. He began his career patrolling the streets of Croydon before joining CID and was part of the Met's first team set up to investigate serious sexual offences.

He was promoted to detective inspector in September 2004 which led to him working with the Met's professional standards department and promotion to chief inspector.

IN October 2006, Tim took over as head of CID in Hounslow.

Reporters Justin Burns and Antony Quarrell caught up with him this week for an audio interview.
