A 63-year-old man has been released on police bail following an alleged attack on another pensioner at a sheltered housing block in Langley.

The 70-year-old victim, who had been receiving medical treatment for a hernia, was allegedly kicked in the stomach during the attack at Seymour House in St Mary's Road.

Detectives are also investigating reports that the suspect caused criminal damage.

The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident on Monday July 7 and bailed to return in early August pending further enquiries, a police spokesman said.
