WATCH: Roux brothers of Bray scoop silver award

9:27am Tue 15th Jul 08:: written by Justin Burns

ChefsĀ from Bray scooped the prestigious Silver Award at the catering and hotelkeepers equivalent of the Oscars at Grosvenor House in London.

Michel and Albert Roux, of the Waterside Inn won the Silver Catey accolade at the prize giving ceremony organised by the Caterer and Hotelkeeper magazine.

They fought off strong competition to win the gong, which included the likes of Gordon Ramsay, Sir Terence Conran, Sir Rocco Forte and Marco Pierre White.

Voting for the award is decided by users of Caterersearch.com and readers of Caterer and Hotelkeeper, and this year's 25th anniversary of the 'Cateys' attracted more than 1,000 of the industry's most important figures.

The Roux brothers were presented with the award on Tuesday last week by the magazine editor and former Maidenhead resident Mark Lewis.

Their Michelin three starred restaurant in Ferry Road, Bray, is highly regarded by catering critics.
