Second serious crash on M4 - lanes closed

Police are attending a second serious collision on the M4 this morning, this time between Maidenhead junction 8/9 and 10.
Emergency services are currently at the scene following the collision at about 9.30am on the westbound carriageway.
The driver of a black VW was airlifted to JR2 Hopsital, Oxford, suffering from serious injuries.
Two lanes of the motorway between junction 8/9 and junction 10 are currently closed while collision investigators examine the scene. They are expected to be closed at least until 1.30pm and motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
The circumstances of the collision are currently under investigation.
Police are keen to trace the driver of a brown van as part of their enquiries.
