Mouth-watering pre-season in store

Although Maidenhead United fans will have to wait until Friday, July 4, for the release of next season’s Blue Square South fixtures, the club has released its full pre-season schedule which include some mouth watering friendlies.

First up is a visit to Southern League Division One South & West Champions Farnborough on Saturday, July 12.

Former England boss Peter Taylor becomes the first opposition manager to come to York Road the following Tuesday when he makes the short journey down the A404 with his new Wycombe Wanderers team.

Blue Square Premier club Oxford United arrive in town on Saturday, July 19, while champions Aldershot Town, now a Football League club, follow on Tuesday, July 22.

Magpies player of the year and top scorer Manny Williams makes a return to York Road with his new Woking teammates and manager Kim Grant on Saturday, July 26, before Championship side Reading visit on Tuesday, July 29.
