Vandals smash up cars in morning rampage

3:21pm Tue 10th Jun 08:: written by Justin Burns

Vandals went on the rampage smashing up five cars in Bourne End in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A top-of-the-range BMW worth £35,000 was written off in the mindless spree outside Abbott's Brook Village Hall.
Three cars were damaged in Marlow Road and a further two in Evenlode Road over the course of the night.

The windscreens to a VW Polo, a VW Golf and two Fiat Puntos were also destroyed in the incident.

Residents of the area think the spate of incidents may have been fuelled by alcohol after a number of beer cans were found next to the damaged cars.

Victim Sophie Kayani said: "We feel completely robbed. Our plans for the weekend were ruined."
