Braywood lost to leaders Wraysbury in Chilterns League 1st XI 1st Division on Saturday. Braywood’s 153 off 49.4 overs aided by Shah’s 44 was not good enough to overturn Wraysbury’s 169 off 39.5 overs.

Holyport ‘s match with Englefield ended in a draw after Port reached 205-9 in their limit of 52 overs. In reply, Englefield could only reach 157-7 in 48 overs. Rolls (96) was the best with the bat.

Taplow also drew their match with Binfield. They raced to an impressive 270-6 off 50 overs with Nilam (74) and Brown 951) providing valuable contributions. Binfield reached 149-8 off 50 overs to tie the game.

In 1st XI 2nd Division, White Waltham (178-7) were defeated by Great Kingshill (179-7) to keep the latter top of the league.

Hurley drew with Little Marlow in a very closely run contest. Mahmood’s 104 not out helped Marlow to 213-4 off 52 overs. Hurley did superbly well to reach 212-6 in 48 overs but fell agonisingly short of victory.

Wargrave’s (121-7) match with Hawridge & Cholesbury (234-4) was also drawn.
