Young driver killed in head-on crash

A young man was killed and another motorist injured in a two-car smash in Furze Platt Road on Sunday morning.
The man, believed to be in his teens, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver was taken to Wexham Park Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The crash happened at about 1.30am when a white Peugeot and a green Volkswagen Golf were involved in a head-on collision.
Police closed the road for several hours while paramedics and fire crews from Maidenhead and Slough were at the scene.
