Teenager mugged at cash point

A teenager was robbed and punched after using a cash point in Cox Green on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old victim was withdrawing cash from the machine outside Wessex Way shops at about 7.15pm when he was approached from behind.

The robber snatched the money and his bank card and demanded his pin number.
When the victim refused he punched him in the face and ran off towards St Chad's Road.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The offender is white, in his mid twenties, about 6ft, with short brown spiked hair. He was wearing a white tank top.
