Car hits lamppost in Braywick Road

9:34am Wed 14th May 08:: written by Sonia Kapur

Debris from a crumpled car and a fallen lamppost brought traffic to a standstill on the Braywick Road this morning.

Police were called by a member of the public at 8am, after the silver Peugeot 307 collided with the lampost on the busy road heading towards the M4 roundabout opposite the petrol station.

There were no other cars involved, and despite the severe wreckage, nobody was hurt.

Lane two of the carriageway was closed, causing traffic to stack up while the lamppost was moved to the central reservation.

Police were on still on the scene at 9am.
