Parents launch trust in memory of Indira

The parents of Indira Swann have set up a trust in honour of their daughter.

Louise and Gregory Swann launched The Indira Education Trust in memory of the 18- year-old, who was one of five victims in the Ecuador bus crash nearly three weeks ago.

Mrs Swann of Highway Avenue, said: “At the moment it is obviously very early days. Our natural inclination was to use any money that was offered in Indira’s memory for the good, and our immediate idea was a school in Ecuador.
“We will be meeting with the families of the other girls and we believe that they are having similar ideas, so we will discuss with them what they wish to do and whether they would wish us all to work together.”

The family have been 'astounded' by the response and sensitivity of Indira's friends since the tragedy.
Indira was a huge music fan and her friends are now planning a charity gig in her name.
Another friend from Henley College, Leila Millson, has entered the Advertiser’s carnival queen competition in Indira’s name.
