Vicious attack by mobile phone robber

4:26pm Mon 21st Apr 08:: written by Claire Moulson

A man could have been hit with a brick by a mobile phone robber who assaulted him from behind, according to police.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the attack, which happened in Slough on Thursday, April 17, between 3.30pm and 3.40pm.

The 21-year-old victim was walking along Bronte Close, off Burlington Avenue, when a man hit him from behind with an object and knocked him to the ground. He was then kicked in the head and chest.

The robber stole the man’s silver Nokia mobile phone and a small amount of cash before walking away. Paramedics at the scene treated him for cuts and bruises.

PC Emma Owens said: “It is believed that there were people in the area at the time, including local workmen and a middle-aged man on a moped. I’m appealing for these people to come forward as they may have information that could assist with our inquiries.”

Call 0845 8 505 505, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, with information.
