Increased free evening parking is available in Maidenhead to yellow Advantage Card holders, the borough has announced.

From Monday (April 7) motorists using Hines Meadow and the Nicholson’s car parks have been able to park for free after 7pm - compared with the £1 tariff previously applied.

The free parking for cardholders was already available at the Town Hall car park fro 5pm and in the Royal Borough's Grove Road, West Street and Stafferton Way car parks from 7pm.

To claim the free parking, council Advantage Card holders can insert their cards into the ticket machines which will issue a ticket.

Free evening parking also applies in Alma Road, Alexandra Gardens, Home Park, King Edward V11, Romney Lock, Victoria and York House car parks in Windsor.

Cllr David Burbage, leader of the council, said: "There are more than 60,000 current Advantage Card holders in the borough, many of whom would potentially benefit from this scheme."
