Unprovoked attack on woman in car

4:16pm Wed 9th Apr 08:: written by Gareth McPherson

A youth spitting in a woman's face in Cippenham has led police to appeal for witnesses of the unprovoked attack.

The woman, in her 30s, was driving along Elmshott Lane at around 4.15pm on Friday, April 4, when she stopped to let a group of young men cross the road.

But the men blocked the road and slung insults at her before a white male approached her car and spat in her face.

PC Jozef Hodgson, who is investigating the crime, said: "During the incident the traffic backed up behind the woman's car so it is possible that another motorist saw what happened."

The group included two black youths on bicycles and a number of white males.

Anyone with information can call PC Hodgson on 0845 8 505505, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
