Opera buddies will take the high note

4:54pm Mon 7th Apr 08:: written by Gareth McPherson

Two sopranos who met at antenatal classes will be hoping to be in good voice for a grandiose performance in Taplow next weekend.

Marketing manager Angela Good, 34, and vet Helen McDonough, 31, will be performing at St Nicolas' Church in Taplow after supporting each other through their first child births.

Mrs Good, who lives in Maidenhead and has a nine-month-old son, said: "We are both professionally trained and happened to meet through these classes last year.
"We realised we both shared a passion for opera and it was something we could do to keep ourselves amused through maternity leave."

The singers will be supported on the piano by Charlotte Brennand as they run through classical movements as well as famous numbers from hit musicals.

The evening, A Celebration of Life, which is being held on April 26, will raise money for We are Macmillan Cancer Support.
