Maidenhead Heritage Centre needs you!

11:34am Mon 7th Apr 08:: written by Sonia Kapur

Painting walls, ceilings and skirting boards has been keeping volunteers busy at the Maidenhead Heritage Centre's new site.

The work which only started a few weeks ago at the Park Street site is already well under way.

Although 12 volunteers have signed up to help finish the work in the building, other volunteers are still needed.

Trevor Jones, member of the management team said: "We need all the help we can get as the more helpers we have the quicker it can be finished and the sooner the new building can be open to the public."

Rosemary Crook and her husband David have been working hard to finish the site.

Rosemary said: "We try to come in about three times a week. We have done a lot of painting and are really enjoying it."

Anyone interested in helping the heritage centre's new site should contact Fran Edwards on 01628 780555.
