Robbers strike at Tesco

Hooded robbers burst in to Tesco early this morning demanding cash from the till.

Police are investigating the incident which happened at the Wooburn Green Tesco Express at about 8.45am.

Two men in dark hooded tops entered the store and demanded cash from tills. They took a cash box and escaped across the green.

Outside, they smashed open the cash box and left the scene in a vehicle.

Det Con Simon Reid is investigating the robbery and wants to hear from a number of bystanders who were outside the store at the time.

He said: “We need to know more about these men, the direction in which they left, or the make of the vehicle they were using, any information is vital at this stage.”
