School visits York Road

10:08am Wed 2nd Apr 08:: written by Sonia Kapur

Football-mad boys and girls from Lowbrook Primary School have been spreading their wings at Maidenhead United FC's home ground.

A group of 28 pupils from the school in The Fairway, Cox Green, were given a tour of the Magpies' York Road ground on Wednesday last week and also the chance for a run-out on the pitch.

The tour gave them the opportunity to look at team photographs dating back to the 1800s.
They were then given a talk about the club's history by Maidenhead United's commercial and community manager, Mark Roach.

This was the third visit from a Maidenhead school, following day-trips from All Saints School and Oldfield Primary School.

Any schools in Maidenhead interested in visiting the club can contact Mark Roach on 07970 399256.
