Sisters search for missing friend

7:00am Thu 13th Dec 07:: written by Lucy Jones

Work colleagues and siblings Janet Harris and Sue Dunstan are bewildered about the whereabouts of their dear friend Doris Pearman, who is in her early 90s.

The threesome struck up a friendship in the 1970s working for Fairey Air Surveys and socialising at The Crauford Arms, in Gringer Hill.

The sisters were surprised to find Doris's flat in the Kidwells Park area empty when they paid her a visit last year.  Since then they have tried to track her down but to no avail.

Mrs Harris, a former receptionist, said: "She has disappeared off the face of the earth.
"We want to know if she is still with us or if she's in a nursing home somewhere we could visit.  We don't know where else to try."

It is thought the missing woman could be living near her two sons, Bill Pearman in Oxford, or Stanley Pearman in High Wycombe.

A fun person who enjoyed socialising, Mrs Pearman was well-known in the Maidenhead area for her love of cricket.

Mrs Harris said: "She used to take her bike with the radio in her basket down to the river and sit there listening to the cricket."

If anyone can help the sisters find their friend, contact Advertiser reporter Lucy Jones on 01628 678236.
