12-year-old mugged for mobile phone

A boy was left with a black eye after he was assaulted in Furze Platt on Wednesday last week.

The 12-year-old was walking along Bridle Road in Furze Platt at about 8.55pm when he was approached by two young men, who assaulted him and stole his mobile phone.

The boy was left with a black eye, a cut to his head and bruising to his shoulder.

His attackers had both covered their faces.
One is described as 6ft, slim, and was wearing a white jacket with a distinctive blue and red pattern on the back and blue/grey tracksuit bottoms with three white stripes down the side.
The other is 5ft 10ins and was wearing dark clothing.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
