The asbo generation

12:00am Thu 9th Nov 06

While it starts like a B-grade GCSE composition on a topical subject, it soon warms up into an accomplished and interesting novel with strong characters. The story follows 16-year-old JB, who has been running riot with his friends on their estate. After one too many scrapes he is given an asbo and sent to live by the sea to keep him out of trouble. There he paints beach huts, falls in love and meets a gang that could cause more problems.
