Bird spreads his wings

12:00am Thu 16th Mar 06

Blues boss David Mudge was naturally delighted with the result, and even more so with his young star Ryan Bird, who repaid his manager"s confidence by grabbing the opening goal. He said: “We did what we do best. We hit them on the break and scored. “Ryan"s made the step up, but I"m delighted with the response I"ve had from all the players. They"ve started playing again.” Burnham travel to the West Midlands again tomorrow (Saturday) to play Rushall Olympic in the Southern League Division 1 West.
