Man found dead in Waitrose car park is named

A man found dead in his car in Waitrose car park on Sunday has been named as Roderick Kevin Edney. 

The 44-year-old was discovered in the front seat of his Mercedes car with a ligature round his neck. 

Tributes to the man, who was identified by Berkshire coroners today, have been laid at the spot where he died.

Police initially viewed his death as 'unexplained' but officers do not suspect foul play. 

Berkshire coroner Peter Bedford opened and adjourned an inquest today.
