A Maidenhead man is among four men jailed for conspiracy to produce cannabis in Winkfield.

Ben William Russell, 25, of Desborough Crescent, Maidenhead, was sentenced to three years in prison. Quy Trung Hoang, 36, was jailed for four years, Thanh Tiung Hoang, 30, given three years, and Le Hoang, 38, 21 months. All three are from Neptune Street, London.

The four men pleaded guilty to conspiracy to produce a class B drug. They were sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday, March 5.

Police said the judge concluded that Quy Hoang was manager of the operation at The Mill, a former farm in Crouch Lane, Winkfield. Ben Russell and Thanh Hoang were organisers and Le Hoang the 'gardener'.

Det Con Pete Clarke, investigating officer, said: ""The judge stated that this was a serious organised family business, with the assistance of local help, which would have reaped huge financial rewards in the course of a year once fully operational.

"The sentences handed down are significant, given that the defendants pleaded guilty at the first opportunity, which entitles them to a 25 per cent reduction in their sentences."
