The Royal Borough  has confirmed between 10 and 100 jobs could be axed and several departments merged as part of a major restructing programme to cut costs.

Leader of the council, Cllr David Burbage said the redundancies were a vital part of the council's aim to save £6.2million of taxpayers' money.

Employees are being informally interviewed about their job roles at the moment.

  • Perhaps if RBWM did not waste so much money they could spare some families the financial termoil of redundancy - I assume the councilors are also taking a pay and expenses cut - maybe some of they will be made redundant too ?Annon
