Posters say 'no' to trick or treaters

10:38am Wed 28th Oct 09:: written by Kelly Rawlings

Posters are available for residents to display in windows if they do not want to be disturbed by
trick or treaters this Halloween.

Police provide the posters each year. Crime reduction advisor Annie Tewkesbury said: “Halloween is a bit of harmless fun for many people, but there are some members of the community, particularly elderly or vulnerable people, who can be intimidated by knocks at the door or noises outside.

“By all means have fun, but please do so respectfully, and if you see one of these posters on display, move on.”
