Musical riot in Windsor- Friday

Artists inspired by Clash frontman Joe Strummer are set to take part in the Riot on the Radio festival which kicks off at Windsor Arts Centre on Friday.

Organised by the venue and Strummerville: Joe Strummer Foundation for New Music, the event is a celebration of music, film, art, theatre and spoken word by artists inspired by the legendary musician.

Headlining the festival are the Flies.  Over the course of the weekend there will be a Rock ‘n’ Roots night, a screening of the recent Joe Strummer biopic and a performance of the 2006 play Meeting Joe Strummer.

The festival, which runs until Monday, October 22 has been organised to showcase new talent that carry the spirit of the punk musician.
