Harper on Royals offer

12:00am Wed 27th Feb 08

James Harper, the Reading midfielder, has urged fans to back the club in their bid to beat the drop this season.

The Royals dynamo has called on fans to take advantage of the club’s ‘buy three, get one free’ offer. Reading announced the deal last week where anyone who purchases a ticket for the three Premier League fixtures with Manchester City on Saturday March 8, Birmingham City on Saturday, March 22 and Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, March 29 will receive one free ticket for the home game with Fulham on Saturday April, 12.

Harper said: “I saw the ticket offer advertised for a free Fulham ticket if you buy the other games and thought it was a great idea.

“The Fulham game will be a massive one for us, and I’ve got a friend who is going to come along to cheer us on.

“Hopefully plenty of others will do the same for their friends and family, and we’ll get another full house for that game.”

  • Hi - I'd love to take advantage of such an offer but, as always, as a season ticket holder I can't. When are the club going to realise that whilst a good 'marketing' idea these promotions, along with the various 'Kids for a Quid' games only serve to make me regret purchasing my season ticket (2 adults & 2 kids actually) as it actually works out more expensive for me to give the club my money at the start of the season than on a 'pay as you go' basis!!
