Get fit shake up for chamber members

9:50am Wed 4th Mar 09:: written by Sonia Kapur

The new president of Maidenhead and District Chamber of Commerce has announced a fresh incentive for members to get fit.

Eddie Pearce, who was elected by his peers last week, has joined forces with the Magnet Leisure Centre in Maidenhead  to offer chamber members a discount when joining the Bodyzone gym.

The fresh face took over the reins from Peter Evans, at a meeting on Wednesday.

During the meeting at Maidenhead Golf Club in Shoppenhangers Road, Mr Pearce revealed that 16 new members had signed up to the commerce that represents businesses in the area.

This includes Thai Square, Ivory Lounge, J Sainsbury plc and Mantra Infotech.

New and existing members of the chamber can benefit from corporate membership at the gym, meaning a 20 per cent discount from the normal prices.
