Marlow by-election results

12:00am Fri 15th Feb 08

The results of the Marlow North & West by-election held on Thursday, February 7 have been announced.

Richard Scott has retained the seat on the Wycombe District Council for the Conservative party with a total of 928 votes.

Carol Cummins of the Liberal Democrats received 382 votes and Paul Mansell for Labour received 209 votes.

The total turnout for the election was 22.62 per cent.

Richard Scott said: "We are delighted to retain the seat on Wycombe District Council for the Marlow North and West. I want to serve the residents at Marlow in the same way that I have done as town mayor for two years.
"We are disappointed with the turnout but are working hard to encourage people to vote by postal service instead of coming in," he added.
