Moria: 'League has never been so tight'

The English Ice Hockey Premier League is tighter than it has ever been, according to Steve Moria.
The Slough Jets head coach saw his team move up to third in the table after back-to-back 3-1 wins over Telford and Wightlink and believes the title race is wide open.
“Like football, in a couple of wins you can move up the table, it’s the same with hockey this year,” Moria compared. “I’ve never seen the league this tight before and it’s good for hockey.
“The teams usually at the top are under pressure from the teams lower down.
“I think it’s because teams are spending less money, which is having an effect.”
On the weekend victories, Moria commented: “They were two tricky teams who’ve both improved in the last year.
“They were always seen as automatic wins, but now we have to work for it.
“We played well to win and played a strong game. We were worthy winners on both nights.
This weekend, the Jets entertain Sheffield Scimitars ahead of a trip to Bracknell Bees.
Moria predicted: “It would be fantastic to pick up two wins again, but they’re two tough teams who’ve got stronger and we’ll have to play our best.”
