Old Cinema site plans to go on show

A public exhibition is set to show new plans for the old cinema site in Maidenhead town centre on Tuesday, November 25.
Developers are looking to build an office block as well as inspiring a cafe culture to the York Stream waterfront, with a ground floor coffee shop and improvements to open space and walkways.
Earlier this month the Advertiser revealed the revised plans, which include a smaller building built further back from the pavement than the original application.
A previous design, refused by the Royal Borough in April, was rejected partly because of its size.
It also proved unpopular with some people who did not think it could fit in with Maidenhead Waterways Restoration Group's plans to rejuvenate the stream and the Green Way.
A planning application for the the Bridge Avenue development is set to be lodged shortly.
Project workers will be on hand to discuss the plans at the St. Mary's Church Hall, off the High Street, from 3-8pm.
