Marlow rower Zac Purchase and his partner Mark Hunter made it three wins out of three
world cup events in the lightweight men's double scull on Sunday.
The pair who are quickly becoming the favourites for a gold medal at the Beijing Olympics made it a hat trick of wins at the international rowing championships in Poznan, Poland.
Speaking after the race, Purchase said: "It's a great result but there's a long way to go. The biggest pressure is the pressure we put on ourselves, to be honest."
Another local medallist was Maidenhead-born Rob Williams who won bronze in the recently amalgamated men's four of Simon Jones, Matt Beechey and Leighton Crawford.
