DIY store boosts kids" fundraiser

Homebase will have family fun on offer, including face painting, magicians, dancers, a drawing competition and refreshments, including Pudsey cookies and cake. There will be prizes on offer through a silent auction and raffle, including a DVD player, wine, watches, signed celebrity chef cook books, bikes and vouchers. Staff will be in fancy dress in costumes on loan from the Maidenhead Drama Guild. Staff member Dave Goodchild said: “We took more than £400 in a couple of days with Pudsey and we"re almost at £1,000 already. “Hopefully lots of people will make it down for our main day.†n Other Children In Need events going on in Maidenhead include a fancy dress night at Maidenhead Lawn Tennis Club in All Saints Avenue. n BEAR NECESSITIES: Homebase staff member Dave Goodchild with Children in Need"s Pudsey the Bear ahead of the store"s big fundraiser tomorrow (Friday).
