The 'spooky' weekend starts here....

There are plenty of weekend events coming up to terrify or tantalise this Halloween. Here are some of the events happening this weekend for you to enjoy.

Friday (tonight) 

A bonfire night celebration is coming to Stoke Place tonight from 6pm onwards.
The Stoke Green venue will have apple bobbing, sparklers, ghost stories, Jack O'Lantern competitions and a hog roast and barbecue.


Saturday

The spectacular Bonfire and Fireworks Night in Slough will come to Slough once again.
Tickets are on sale for the Slough Borough Council run event to be held at Upton Court Park. It will include fireworks, a fun fair and a blazing bonfire.
The Slough Express, along with Asian Star FM is supporting this year's event.
Residents can grab themselves a bargain and buy advance tickets at a discounted rate at any of these places - MyCouncil on the High Street and in Britwell,  Slough Ice Rink in Montem Lane, the Town Hall reception and Langley, Britwell, Cippenham and Slough libraries.
Gates will open at 5.30pm, with the bonfire being lit after the fireworks display.

Halloween horrors will debut the launch of retro style drive-in movies on the world's largest cinema screen at Pinewood Studios.
Featured films to follow the Omen and the Shining will include Mamma Mia!, Bridget Jones' Diary and Notting Hill, Kubrick Classics, Gladiator and the Bourne Ultimatum.
Tickets per car will cost £35 standard and £55 VIP, maximum four people per vehicle.

A dazzling pyrotechnics display is set to light up Ascot Racecourse when a Halloween and fireworks event takes place.
The bash is organised by the Ascot Round Table and will feature an array of Catherine wheels, rockets and other colourful fireworks.
This year's theme will be Halloween and it will take place near to the all-weather Racecourse Grandstand.
Guests are being encouraged to don fancy dress, with prizes also up for grabs for children that dress the scariest.
All proceeds from ticket sales will be used to support local charities, while a free fun fair, food and drink will further keep families entertained.

A halloween party is being held to celebrate the launch of the new Langley Community Association.
The event takes place at Langley Community Hall in Meadow Road.
It is for all ages and fancy dress is optional. Music provided by SWIPE will include a steel band and two live bands.
It runs from 2-8pm and there will be a raffle and refreshments available. All are welcome. Entry is £1 for adults and 50p for children.

The Farmers' Market in Maidenhead will take on a Halloween theme from 9am-4pm in Grove Road car park.

A pumpkin party is being held at Windsor Royal Station from 1pm to 5pm. A children's fancy dress, best pumpkin face competition and a pumpkin hunt are all part of the event.

A firework party is being held at the Greyhound pub, Eton Wick. Bonfire at 7.30pm.

It's Advantage Weekend in the Royal Borough with loads of great deals for Advantage Card holders when they visit or use Windsor Castle, City Sightseeing buses, Windsor Wheel, French Brothers boats, Stanley Spencer Gallery and the Ascot Racecourse fireworks, as well the chance to win a BodyZone gym membership. Sunday

Diwali celebrations will continue this weekend for the Hindu Society of Maidenhead.
The festival that fell last weekend, will be celebrated by the society during their monthly meeting on Sunday at St Pirans School.
All are invited to attend the event that will be opened by Royal Borough deputy mayor, Cllr Catherine Bursnall at 10.30am, at the school in Gringer Hill.
Maidenhead MP Theresa May will also be present, and children will perform dances before prayers and lunch is served at about midday.

About 1,000 experienced and novice runners are expected for the 'scenic and undulating’ Marlow Half Marathon.
Numbers will now be handed out at the starting point at Sir William Borlase School on Sunday from 8am and the race starts at 9.30am.
