The weekend starts here...

Here are some ideas for this weekend.....

Firefighters will swap their hoses for buckets and sponges on Saturday for a charity car wash.
Motorists can take their vehicles along to Maidenhead Fire Station and Marlow Fire Station for a car wash fundraising event between 10am and 4pm.
The firefighters are raising money for the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund (FSNBF) which provides assistance to serving and retired fire and rescue staff and their families.

For some fresh produce head to Grove Road car park in Maidenhead for the town's Farmer's Market on Sunday.
There will be quality food on sale from local producers between 10am and 1pm.

Cookham Dean Primary School is holding a jumble sale on Saturday from 2-4pm.

Famous cookery writer Valentina Harris will be visiting Caldesi in Campagna for lunch on Sunday March 9.  
Celebrity chef Giancarlo Caldesi and his wife Katie will be hosting the sumptuous lunch at the restaurant in Old Mill Lane.
The menu will consist of dishes taken from Valentina's cookery books Recipes from an Italian Terrace and Slow.
Valentina will also be there to sign books and answer questions.

For a spot of culture, head to Cookham Arts Club's exhibition at Pinder Hall which is running all weekend.
Opening times are 10am-8pm on Saturday and 10am-5pm on Sunday.
Artwork is by local artists and there will be an opportunity to purchase some of the work.
Admission is free.

Nab some bargains at a jumble sale on Saturday. The event is being run by the Bray and Holyport Scouts at Holyport War Memorial Hall from 10am-2pm.

Charvil Girl's Choir will be raising cash on Saturday and inviting you to make a purchase at its jumble sale from 2pm onwards.
There will be toys, games, brick-a-brac, home-made cakes and books on offer at Charvil Village Hall.

Norden Farm Centre for the Arts has some performances on this weekend if you fancy a trip to the theatre.
100 young performers will dance in Bollywood Masti at 3pm and 7.30pm. Tickets £7 at the Altwood Road venue in Maidenhead.
Also on Saturday, there will be Jabuti - the story of a tortoise in the Amazonian rain forest with puppets and a Brazilian beat. This is at 11am and 3pm. Tickets £6.50 or £22 for a family.

Cox Green Community Centre is another option of you fancy a bargain this weekend in aid of a good cause.
CLAWS - Cat Lovers Animal Welfare Society is holding a sale from 10am-2pm.

For classical music lovers there will be a performance at All Saints' Church, Boyne Hill on Saturday at 8pm.
Sally Stafford conducts Cantorum Choir in St John Passion.
