The soldiers will present spectacular displays of Roman fighting techniques and displays each day. There will be opportunities to learn about Roman fashions with a fashion show performed by the Roman ladies!  All the Museum's buildings will be open to visitors.

    Chilterns Country Walk - Bledlow & Radnage

    This moderate to strenuous walk begins at Chinnor Hill Nature Reserve, and is 8 miles long. The route descends into Bledlow and follows sections of the Ridgeway and the Icknield Way. The walk features a fair amount of ascents and descents but you are rewarded with some spectacular views and will enjoy fine woodland and wildflower habitats along the route. Please bring water, particularly if the weather is warm. The walk will take approximately 4 hours. 10am. Chinnor Hill Nature Reserve Car Park.

    Meet Sovereign the Shire Horse - Chiltern Open Air Museum

    Friendly resident Sovereign the Shire Horse and his owner will be around the Museum's traditional farmstead and Village Green area to greet visitors. Horse lovers will be able to groom Sovereign and see him in action around the site. All the Museum's buildings will be open to visitors.

    Pets Corner at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre

    Some animals, such as rabbits, guinea pigs, can be handled and stroked under the children’s’ parents’ supervision.  In the past there have been geese, chickens, a 5-day old piglet, and a young calf which had to be bottle-fed.
    There is aslo a minature railway, picnic areas, refreshment area, gift shop and museum.
