The Club are delighted to have secured a date with the highly acclaimed touring partnership of Karen Sharp and Robert Fowler. The two award winning saxophonists present a tribute to the legendary duo of Al Cohn and Zoot Sims and will be playing for the first time with the resident Frank Toms Trio. This four piece band from Slough fall into a rock/pop genre and describe themselves as having a rather ‘unique’ style.
Their influences range from Oasis to Kings of Leon, although their style certainly differs.

The Detective in Fiction - Windsor


With award-winning crime writer John Harvey, creator of the popular Charlie Resnick and Frank Elder novels. Peter Leyland will trace the development of detective fiction and explain how famous fictional detectives were created. Plus extracts from classic crime films, and a chance for people attending to talk about their favourite detectives and take part in an informal quiz.
Organised by Windsor WEA (Workers Educational Association) at St George’s school, Windsor (opposite Windsor and Eton Riverside station) 10am-4.30pm. £35 including lunch, tea and coffee.

Walk: The Ancient Trees of Burnham Beeches


Afternoon walk for 2 hours at a gentle pace. Discover the history of the ancient trees on Burnham Beeches, why they were created and what we are doing to ensure there are future veteran trees on the site.
