Eva Cassidy - Somewhere

For Eva Cassidy, her untimely death from melanoma aged just 33, came before she gained widespread recognition across the world.
Would success have followed had she lived? Cassidy was little-known outside her home state of Washington when she died in 1996.
She was a singer who turned her soul-stirring voice to interpretations of a wide range of music from jazz, blues and country to folk, gospel and pop.
Somewhere is again mainly interpretations, from Coat of Many Colours to Summertime to Chain of Fools. It also includes a Cassidy original, the jazzy Somewhere.
Somewhere hints at what might have been if Cassidy’s career had not been cut short.
