Hadouken! - Music for an Accelerated Culture

Crack out the glow sticks and white whistles it's time for a journey back to the 90's.
Music For An Accelerated Culture is an album for the Skins generation – teenagers caught up in the resurrection of new rave for the naughties.
The band's name comes from Ryu's special move – a throwing blue fire ball attack – in the console game Street Fighter.
Unfortunately for the Leeds-based band this album doesn't carry quite the same bite. The droning one-paced soundtrack is enough to drive anyone but the most smashed up, smiley faced clubbers partially insane.
The real shame is that there are some clever subtle lyrics hidden away which epitomise youth culture's thirst for booze, sex and drugs.
Hadouken! fail to represent young Britain with the same raw energy and passion as The Prodigy or The Streets.
