The Oak and Saw pub
12:00am Thu 6th Mar 08
Proprietors Ian Burne and Karen Walsh have transformed the pub over the past four years, now making it a great place to eat and socialise with friends in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
Having built up a great reputation for good quality, fresh, home-made food, Ian says his influences have come from watching all the top TV celebrity chefs’ programmes such as Jamie Oliver, Rick Stein and Antony Worrall Thompson.
“We understand that many of our lunch-time customers are business people who only have a limited time from the office to grab something to eat, so we provide a range of sandwiches and snacks, but we also provide great homemade winter specials which currently include comforting shepherd’s pie, fillet of sea bass, rich beef stew, lamb madras curry, and many more.”
There is a special two or three-course menu for Easter Sunday Day lunch served noon to 4pm on Sunday, March 23.
Two courses cost £10.95 and three courses just £13.95. Bookings are
highly recommended, as the dining area will quickly be fully booked up.
The Oak & Saw Village Inn can be found in Rectory Road, Taplow, and can be contacted on 01628 604074.
