The 2010 carnival also has some new faces on the organising committee.
Town manager Steph James (pictured) has taken over the reins as chairman while Jeremy Spooner, the chief executive officer of Baylis Media Ltd, publisher of the Advertiser, is the carnival’s new treasurer.
The Advertiser is the official media partner of the carnival and editor Martin Trepte, himself a former
carnival chairman, has rejoined the committee alongside Magnet Leisure Centre manager Chris Hall,
borough councillor Norma Herdson who represents Maidenhead Arts, Chris and Claire Donald of charity
marathon organisers Purple Patch Running, Peter Sands from Maidenhead Thames Rotary Club
and Rachel Pearce, who will be organising the carnival parade and co-organising the Battle of the
Bands competition with fellow committee member Ash Bull, from Denmark Studios.
