Tom Allen presents Women!
Norden Farm
This is a celebration of all the women that gay stand-up Tom Allen has ever loved (but not like that).
Trim, dapper, well dressed in a casual kind of way, he doesn’t go much for telling jokes – he tells stories instead.
From his first girlfriend to a very odd flatmate to royalty, he will take your through a series of anecdotes explaining what makes each one special to him.
Born and brought up in Bromley, as a teenager he was the youngest member of the Noel Coward Society.
After turning down the chance to study history and politics at Warwick, he became a barman, waiter and temp instead. Something he has said which proved to be great training for comedy.
His first comedy gig was in 2005 at Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club when he was 21. Within 12 months he had won the So You Think You’re Funny? competition and the BBC New Talent comedy award.
Since then he has performed at the international Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, at Manchester's Queer Up North and has had his own highly acclaimed show at the Edinburgh Festival for the past two years.
He has appeared on Channel 4’s TNT, and Loose Ends on BBC Radio 4 and also appeared in his own documentary about identity for E4, entitled Who is Tom Allen, and on the prestigious Dictionary Corner on Channel 4’s Countdown.
Film credits include Colour Me Kubrick with John Malkovich and Starter for Ten with James McEvoy and Mark Gatiss. He responds well to deadlines and strong women.
