Hamilton Loomis - Norden Farm

In an age of factory-produced music to make money, watching a genuine musician perform his own tracks at Norden Farm was pure bliss.
The immensely talented Texan along with his band, took to the stage, with a swagger, originality and vibrancy. Loomis is blessed with a soulful voice, and his guitar and harmonica skills were also first-class, while his passion for music was apparent.
Crossing rock, blues and soul musical genres in the show, stand-out tracks for me were ‘Slow Lover’ and ‘That Thang’, both from his new album.
The highlight for me was when Loomis strummed on his Bo Diddley guitar, playing the track they co-wrote, ‘You Got To Wait’.
Loomis and the saxophonist ‘played off’ against each other in a freestyle jamming session. For fans of pure music, he is a must.
