The Quotes first formed in late 2006, bringing to the table an incomparably fresh sound teamed with catchy lyrics and a collaboration of vocals. Original members, guitarists/vocalists Ben and James were later joined in 2007 by bassist Liam and come 2008, drummer Josh.

The Quotes, based in the Cookhams, first began playing in Berkshire, and have now played at venues such as Monto Water Rats Theatre in London and South Street, Reading. Following their first full album release in September 2008, The Quotes have now gone on to record two new songs, 'Down The Line' and 'It's Alright' at Area 18 in London. Music videos have also been filmed for both new songs. 

Their latest single 'Down the Line' was recorded with Nick Heyward (Haircut 100) at Area 18 studios in London, and they will play with the singer at Let's Rock the Moor on May 4 in The Moor, Cookham.
